Vanessa joined Acelot in January 2024 as a Research Associate. Prior to this, she was a biology teacher, where she developed and delivered high-impact scientific presentations to engage and inspire her students. Driven by a passion for science,Vanessa transitioned to a research-focused career by earning a Master of Science in Biotechnology. During her studies, she gained expertise in cell-free and cell-based assays, including the development of knockout cell lines. In parallel, Vanessa interned with Acelot’s Preclinical Research Team, where she made significant contributions to company initiatives through the execution of robust cellular assays and the application of quantitative microscopy for data analysis.

Vanessa received her MSc in Biotechnology from the University of San Francisco in May 2024 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of California, Davis.
